MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its 11th set of weekly awards on Tuesday, with Emily Mouser being named GSC Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.
The Huntsville, Ala., native had a solid week, averaging 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in a pair of games against Trevecca and Lee. The freshman nearly shot 50-percent from the floor, while shooting 40-percent from beyond the arc, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
Mouser opened the week, leading the team in points (15) and rebounds (six) against Trevecca on Thursday. She closed the week with double-digit scoring again, recording 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists against Lee on Saturday.
The freshman led the team on the weekend in total points (27) and total rebounds (11) through the two contests.
Mouser and the Falcons return to action this weekend with games against at Mississippi College (Jan. 29) and Delta State (Jan. 31).
