AUGUSTA, Ga. – For the second time this season, Alex Egorshin has been named Peach Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week after leading Montevallo's defense in a 12-8 win over No. 20 North Greenville.

The senior goalkeeper played all 60 minutes in Montevallo's third win over a ranked program while adding a season-high 19 saves on 35 shots faced for a .704 save percentage and just eight goals allowed. Egorshin now leads the PBC with an average of 14.50 saves per game while adding a .569 save percentage through four games.
 
Egorshin and the Falcons are set to host Mars Hill on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. for Montevallo's 2026 home opener.
