BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its new set of weekly awards on Tuesday, as Emily Mouser was named Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season.
The Huntsville, Ala., native had a big performance in Montevallo's lone game of the week, scoring a career-high of 24 points in a road win over AUM on Saturday. The freshman was efficient, shooting 50-percent from the floor, 66.7-percent from distance, and 100-percent from the free throw line. She also added five rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
On the season, Mouser leads the team in scoring (12.2 ppg) and assists (63), while leading the GSC in free throw percentage (.924).
Mouser and the Falcons are back in action this week West Alabama (Feb. 19) and UAH (Feb. 21).
