MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's and women's tennis teams open their 2026 spring campaigns Saturday with a road trip to Memphis to face Christian Brothers. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
After the Falcons' opening weekend in Georgia was postponed, Montevallo will begin the season against a familiar conference opponent. The Falcons have historically had the upper hand in the series, with the men holding a perfect 8-0 record and the women owning an 8-2 advantage all-time.
The Lady Buccaneers enter the weekend at 1-4 overall and 0-1 in Gulf South Conference play. CBU picked up momentum on Thursday with a 6-1 victory over Cumberland.
On the men's side, the Buccaneers also sit at 1-4 overall with an 0-1 GSC mark. CBU split matches against Cumberland and Blue Mountain Christian last weekend and dropped its lone conference contest to Mississippi College, 7-0.
