MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo men's lacrosse is set for a two-game road trip in south Florida to take on Embry-Riddle and Saint Leo on Feb. 6 and 8, respectively.

Montevallo heads into the nonconference matchups after a taking a dominant 21-6 win over Emmanuel on Jan. 30. The Falcons' season opening win featured a total of 65 shots with 39 of those on goal while adding a 14-for-19 mark in clears. Montevallo's 61 ground balls against the Lions rank eighth all-time in a single game with the Falcons posting a 22-for-31 mark in faceoffs on the day.
Matthew Boas highlighted Montevallo's individual performances on Jan. 30 with a career-high 13 points on career-bests seven goals and six assists. Montevallo newcomer
Lucas Mullen posted eight points on four goals and four assists while
Conlan Creamer and
Hudson Haire each tallied a pair of goals. Defensively,
John Morris was a bright spot for the Falcons with a game-high three caused turnovers while picking up five ground balls. In the net,
Alex Egorshin allowed just one goal in 35 minutes of action while posting a total of eight saves, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Embry-Riddle opened the season with an 8-7 overtime win against No. 12 Flagler on Saturday, Jan. 31. The Eagles posted 40 shots in the season opener with 17 on frame while adding a perfect 18-for-18 mark in clears and 36 ground balls. ERAU added a 13-for-18 mark in faceoffs in the season opener but failed to convert on all five man-up chances.
Lucas Anthony led the charge for ERAU with a game-high four goals while adding an assist for five points on the day. A quartet of Eagles each added a goal apiece for the eight goals in the season-opening win. Gavin Daly highlighted ERAU's defense with four caused turnovers while adding another team-high six ground balls. In goal, Reid Kerr played all 62 minutes and posting seven saves on 29 shots faced for a .500 save percentage.
Saint Leo will open the season on Friday against Alabama Huntsville with the game set to begin at 7 p.m. The Lions rank No. 19 in the USILA Preseason Poll with a pair of seniors named to USILA Preseason All-Smerican. James Davies was named to Second Team Preseason All-American after posting 54 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers in 2025. Owen Wills was named Third Team All-American after a 2025 the featured a SLU single-season record 34 caused turnovers and led a defense that allowed just 10.99 goals per game.
