TEMPE, Ariz. – Montevallo women's tennis player Klara Podskubkova and the Falcon men's doubles pair of Simon Luigs and Guilherme Gracioli maintained their positions in this week's ITA national rankings. Podskubkova checked in at No. 61 in the latest singles rankings, while Luigs and Gracioli were ranked No. 49 in doubles.
Podskubkova earned a hard-fought victory in her lone singles appearance of the week, defeating Valdosta State's Lena Beckx in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, at the No. 1 position. She also contributed in doubles play, posting a 2-1 record alongside Claire Jaramba.
On the men's side, Luigs and Gracioli continued their strong play as a duo, going a perfect 2-0 on the weekend. The pair secured a 7-5 victory over UT Southern's Luis Cupertino and Ayden Kousis before earning a 6-4 win against Spring Hill's Luke Tucker and Will Huckell at the No. 2 spot. Their match against Valdosta State's Jerome Iaconi and Jan Thissen was tied at 4-4 when Montevallo clinched the doubles point.
