PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Montevallo softball team concluded its best season in program history in the NCAA Regionals. The sixth-seeded Falcons fell to No. 2-seed West Florida, 10-0, inside of the UWF Softball Complex.
West Florida struck early and often scoring ten runs on 15 hits through five innings.
Montevallo struggled to find momentum offensively, as Becca Benton and Liilie Piersol recorded the lone Falcon hits on the day.
The 2026 season saw Montevallo reach several milestones, including a program-record number of wins, the first national ranking in school history, and the program's first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
