EMPORIA, Kan. – Montevallo's Christopher Johnson and Jeremiah Fails competed in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Friday.
Johnson opened the day strong with a 14th place finish in the Men's Discus Throw with a mark of 50.75m. Johnson's 14th-place finish secured him Second Team All-American honors. The graduate student becomes the first Falcon to receive All-American honors since 2020.
Fails closed the day for Montevallo in the 200-meter dash. The senior placed 21st overall with a time of 21.35.
Johnson and Fails were the first Falcons to compete on the national stage on the men's side since Joe Leventry in 2022.
