HOW THEY GOT HERE
MONTEVALLO
In the inaugural season for UM softball, the Falcons have made an indelible mark on the conference. Montevallo was nearly .500 in its first year of Peach Belt play and earned a win over perennial Top 10 team Georgia College. Because of that win over the Bobcats, UM won the tiebreaker with Francis Marion and USC Aiken, earning the sixth seed.
ARMSTRONG STATE
The Pirates have consistently been among the elite Peach Belt teams this season. ASU was not swept by any PBC squad, earning at least one win in every single series this year, including a stretch of eight straight wins at the beginning of April.

All three of them were named First Team All-PBC. As a team, the Pirates lead the conference in batting average.
STAR FRESHMEN
Both the Falcons and the Pirates put a freshman on the All-PBC First Team. For Montevallo, Kelsey Vining also won the conference's Freshman of the Year Award. Autumn Parrish of ASU was the catcher on the squad and ranks eighth in the conference in runs batted in.
These two will likely be a key to the game, as Vining leads the conference in steals and Parrish has only thrown out one base stealer all season.
