HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- The Argonauts scored a run in the bottom of the first inning to jump out to a 1-0 lead on Montevallo. In the sixth inning the Argonauts plated two more runs to lead the Falcons 3-0.
- Jocelyn Rivera pitched her fourth complete game and gave up eight hits over six innings. Rivera now has a record of 4-8 for the season
Game 2
- The game started off as a defensive battle as both teams went scoreless through the first three frames. In the fourth inning the Argonauts got on the board with a ball hit to left field that put West Florida up 1-0.
- The Falcons got on the board in the top of the sixth inning when, with two outs, Shelby Lopez singled to shallow right field and brought Celestia Davila in to tie the game at 1-1.
- Kaitlynn Thomson scored the go ahead run in the top of the seventh inning after a passed ball got by the catcher to bring her in from third.
- Jostlyn Higgerson got the start in the circle in game two and pitched her third complete game and is now 7-4 on the season.
UP NEXT
The Falcons return home to take on Columbus State in PBC play on March 19th with the first for 5:00pm.
