HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- The Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the second inning and held that lead until the sixth. That run was scored on a solo homerun by Kelsey Vining to lead off the inning.
- In the sixth inning the Cougars took a 2-1 lead on a two RBI single that got through the left side.
- The Falcons retook the lead in the bottom half of the sixth inning. After Jostlyn Higgerson reached on a single, Rachel Conley brought her home with double to let center to tie the game at 2-2. The go ahead run was scored on a two RBI homerun to centerfield by Darbi Duke, her first of the season.
Game 2
- The Falcons took the first lead by scoring two runs in the second inning. Marisa Sosa tripled down the right field line and scored Vining for the first run of the game. Sosa scored when Duke got caught in a run down and crossed the plate before Duke was put out.
- The Cougars did their damage in the fifth inning after scoring six runs in the top half.
- The Falcons scored in the bottom of the fifth inning to pull the lead to 6-3 on a Shelby Lopez double that scored Celestia Davila.
- In the seventh inning the Falcons had bases loaded with two outs when Vining came to the plate, representing the winning run. A wild pitch scored Lady Sarah Federico to pull the Falcons to within two. Vining walked to load the bases again but the Falcons were unable to bring any more runs home as an infield popup ended the game.

The Falcons are back in action on Sunday March 20th with a doubleheader at home against Georgia Southwestern with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00pm
