HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- In the bottom of the second inning, the Falcons surrendered the first run of the game to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead. A passed ball scored the Patriots' Kaylee Childers for the first run of the game.
- Neither team scored again until the fifth inning when Francis Marion scored their second run of the game. An infield RBI single from Taylor Johnson plated the run as the Patriots took a 2-0 lead.
- Jocelyn Rivera (5-17) got the start in the circle for the Falcons and pitched three innings. Over her three inning campaign, Rivera gave up one run on three hits.
- Abbey Pratt and Jana Kelbie Armstrong entered the game in relief for Montevallo. Pratt pitched two innings and gave up one hit and one run. Armstrong pitched the final inning for the Falcons and gave up one hit and struck out one batter.
Game 2
- The Patriots scored the game's only run in the bottom of the first inning. A two out double put a runner on base, then a fielding error by Darbi Duke in centerfield allowed the run to score as the Patriots took a 1-0 lead. That run is all the Patriots needed to seal the game two victory.
- Jocelyn Rivera (5-18) got the game two start in the circle for the Falcons. Rivera allowed one run on one hit over two innings.
- Pratt and Armstrong entered game two in relief and pitch two innings each. Pratt didn't allow a hit and struck out one batter. Armstrong allowed four hits over two innings and struck out one batter.
