HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
- The Falcons got on the board in the first inning on a single from Rachael Conley that got through the right side to bring home Shelby Lopez and gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead.
- The Pirates came back and tied the game at 1-1 with a run in the second inning. In the third and fourth inning the Falcons gave up a total of four runs as Armstrong State took a 5-1 lead.
Game 2
- Montevallo surrendered two early runs to fall behind 2-0 early in the second game of the doubleheader. The Pirates plated runs in the first and second innings to take the lead.
- The Falcons came back and scored a run in the third inning to pull within one run of the lead (2-1). Kelsey Vining entered the game as a pinch runner for Jostlyn Higgerson and was plated when Celestia Davila tripled to left field.
- Montevallo gave up eight runs over the final three innings as the Pirates pulled away to a 10-1 victory.
UP NEXT
The Falcons are back on the field on Tuesday April 5th with a road contest against Stillman College. The first pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 4:00pm.
