Series Notes: UM and Christian Brothers have tied their last two matches in the series, which dates back to 2015. Montevallo won the only all-time meeting in Montevallo, 1-0, on Sept. 13, 2015. 
Streaks: Prior to a 2-1 setback at Mississippi College on November 3, the Falcons had won five straight matches and had been undefeated in their last seven matches (6-0-1) dating back to October 4. 
NEWS AND NOTES
  • Montevallo already has a berth in the GSC Tournament, which starts Nov. 12 at campus sites, but the Falcons are in the hunt for home-field advantage in their opening round match. After Thursday's match with Union was postponed, the Falcons were in fourth place in the GSC standings, but they were only four points out of second place. However, Montevallo was only one point ahead of Valdosta State and West Florida.
  • Christian Brothers clinched a berth in the GSC Tournament with a 3-0 win at Auburn Montgomery on Thursday. The Bucs have won two straight matches since a slide of four straight losses.
  • Montevallo is 4-1-2 at home this season while the Bucs are 2-4-1 away from home (1-3-1 road, 1-1 neutral) in 2019.
TEAM LEADERS
MONTEVALLO 
  • Romee Contreras leads the Falcons in goals (six), assists (six) and points (18) on 40 shots, including 19 shots on goal.
  • Samara Lino also has six goals and three assists for 15 points for UM on 34 shots, 18 of which were on goal.
  • Medhali Hernandez is tops on the team in shots (43) and Espy Sanchez has two game-winning goals for the Falcons.
  • Hannah Waki has played the most minutes (1,467) among the field players for the Falcons.
  • Annie Mason and Judith Perez-Bayon have split time in goal, with Mason making 45 saves and allowing seven goals in 974:59 of work and Perez-Bayon making eight saves and yielding eight goals in 523:36 in net.
     
CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
  • Bailey Tadlock is the offensive workhorse for the Bucs, leading the team in goals (10), assists (11), points (31), shots (63) and shots on goal (30). She is in the top six in the Gulf South Conference in all of those categories.
  • Bobbie Willis (five goals) and Hannah Ward (four goals, two assists) also are among the leading offensive players.
  • Willis leads the Christian Brothers field players with 1,486 minutes played. Willis, Tadlock and Taylor White all have logged 1,400-plus minutes for the Bucs.
  • Riley Chafin has done most of the work in goal for the Bucs, starting 14 matches and making 64 saves while allowing 12 goals in 1,213:09 of work. Her .842 save percentage ranks second and her 0.89 goals against average is sixth in the GSC.
