Montevallo, Ala. – Six members of the Montevallo Men's soccer team will participate in summer league play with four different clubs across the United States this summer.
Rob McNeal and
Gabriel Quartarone will play for Peach Tree City MOBA of the United Soccer League II in Atlanta, Georgia. McNeal, an Atlanta, Georgia native, completed his junior season at Montevallo in 2018, starting 15 games for the Falcons' backline. Quartarone, a Rio de Janeiro, Brazil native, completed his senior season at Montevallo in 2018, and joined McNeal on the Falcons' backline, starting 10 games.
Arad Lev Ari and
Vladik Margolin will play for AFC Mobile of the Gulf Coast Premier League in Mobile, Alabama. Lev Ari, and Margolin, both completed their junior seasons at Montevallo in 2018, each starting in 16 games. Lev Ari, a Haifa, Israel native, scored four goals, and recorded four assists, totaling 12 points last season as a Falcon. Margolin, a Shelomi, Israel native, added one goal and two assists, totaling four points last season as a Falcon.
Liam Moore will travel to Daphne, Alabama, to play for the Gulf Coast Rangers as part of the Gulf Coast Premier League. Moore completed his junior season at Montevallo in 2018, starting 16 games for the Falcons. The Milton Keynes, England native scored six goals and added five assists, totaling a team-high 17 points as a Falcon last season.
Salvador Plaza will travel to Rochester, Minnesota to play for Med City FC as part of the National Premier Soccer League. A native of Santiago, Chile, Plaza completed his freshman season as a Falcon in 2018. The goalkeeper appeared in one game last season.
