MONTEVALLO, Ala - Despite an abrupt and unexpected ending due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Montevallo men's lacrosse team managed to squeeze a lot of action in just seven games. The Falcons were in the midst of a highly competitive season, with multiple NCAA ranked teams on the schedule, in just its third year of establishment. Head coach
Jason Lange spoke about the message he wanted his players to leave with, "My message to the team was twofold. First, if this is the worst thing that happens to you this year, you're going to have a pretty good year. Secondly... Never take anything for granted."
The Falcons were continuing to establishing themselves competitively in the Great Laves Valley Conference. The team was second in the GLVC in man up scoring percentage, fourth in shot percentage, and fourth in shots on goal per game.

Thomas Vaesen added two more GLVC Player of the Week awards to his collection giving him five total in his career. Vaesen was also selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Team of the Week back in February. The Victoria, BC, Canada native finished second in the GLVC in goals per game (3.14), sixth in points per game (3.86), and fourth in shots per game (8.86).

"In athletics, almost all the time you have a say in how and/or when your season ends. It hurts when things out of your control take something away from you that you've worked so hard for. Don't take this time for granted, don't take each other for granted and make sure you get better for the guy's in our locker room." Coach Lange continued.
Regardless of the adversity, the Montevallo men's lacrosse team will continue to build on the successes of this season going into 2021.
