UM Swimming Outlook

MONTEVALLO - The Montevallo swim program embarked on its third season since the sport was established at the University in 2019.  The program has seen tremendous growth in a short amount of time to which the Falcons look to continue forward this season.

The Falcons welcomed the 2021 signing class over the summer that included one addition to the men's team and nine additions to the women's unit.   This now sets the men's roster to 21 and the women's roster to 21 swimmers for the season.

Montevallo also welcomed back plenty of experienced veterans including Second Team All-NSISC swimmer Amanda Ware on the women's side, and the First Team All-NSISC duo of Ray Asmakis and Connor Daigle, along with  Second Team All-NSISC swimmer Joshua Sauer to bolster the men's unit.

So far this season the Falcons have competed in two meets including the Sewanee Invitational, and a head to head meet against Birmingham Southern.  The Montevallo women's team is slated for eight more meets this season including six NSISC meets, and the men are set for eight more meets with five NSISC events on the schedule.

The Falcons will take on Millsaps College in their next meet with the first event set for 10:00 AM at the Student Activity Center Natatorium.
