MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Falcons went into the holidays a bit down after back to back losses at Valdosta State and West Florida. The loss to UWF was a particularly gut-wrenching 75-74 setback in overtime. However, the Falcons blasted their way into the New Year with a resounding 81-56 win over Shorter on Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-2 in the Gulf South Conference and 6-8 overall.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Much like the men's team, the Falcon women's team came up empty in their road trips to Valdosta State and West Florida. After a hard-fought loss at VSU, it was a buzz-beater that sunk the Falcons at UWF. The Argos nipped the Falcons 80-78, dropping UM to 5-8 and a surprising 1-4 in the GSC. On Sunday, the Falcons stormed into 2022 with a 86-56 shelling of Shorter University for a much-needed conference win.
