KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches have announced the Division II All-South Region Teams with Montevallo men's soccer's Edin Hernandez being named to the Second Team.
 
The All-Region award is one of many that Hernandez has received this season after leading the Falcons in assists in 2022.  The graduate midfielder was named to the All-GSC First Team, D2CCA All-South Region Second Team and to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
 
The Tampa, Fla. native led Montevallo in the midfield after starting in all 16 contests and playing 1,415 minutes. Hernandez finished second in the league in assists while creating several scoring opportunities for one of the leagues' top offenses.
 
Hernandez wrapped up his playing career at Montevallo with 39 starts in 39 matches, four goals, 12 assists, 20 points and 3,483 minutes played.
