LAST TIME ON THE DIAMOND
The Falcons opened the 2022 season at the Gulf Coast Invitational where they split their four contests to begin the season 2-2. The team was scheduled to play six games, but the first two games against Barry University and West Texas A&M were rained out on Friday. On Saturday, the Falcons rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a two-run deficit to beat Drury 8-5. However, UM came up short in the nightcap, falling to Rollins 4-3. On Sunday morning, the Falcons edged Palm Beach Atlantic 3-1, but lost to Lubbock Christian 6-1 in the final game of the invitational.
