Sierra Easterwood and
Mabry Norris have been named Gulf South Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week after the Falcons back to back sweeps of Georgia Southwestern and Christian Brothers. Both players had amazing games during the week and were instrumental in the wins.
Easterwood was a beast at the plate going 11-for-18 with three home runs, three triples, four doubles and eight RBIs. She had at least one hit in each game and hit for the cycle in the Falcons come-from-behind win over Christian Brothers on Sunday. She was 4-for-4 in that game, with two RBIs. Earlier in the week, she hit a walk-off, two-run homer to beat Georgia Southwestern. For the week, Easterwood batted .611, with an on-base percentage of .667 and slugging percentage of 1.667.
Norris was dominant in the circle, appearing in four of the five games, starting one and earning a 3-0 record. In her start, she pitched a no-hitter and was two walks away from a perfect game. She had three strikeouts in the game. Overall, Norris pitched 10 1/3 innings, scattered six runs on six hits, while striking out six.
