MONTEVALLO, Ala. --- Freshman outfielder Alisha Lanyon has been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week for her performance during the week of April 4-10. The Tampa, Florida native had a solid series against GSC foe West Alabama, going 7-for-12 at the plate with a pair of home runs and four RBIs. She also scored six runs. She had a slugging percentage of 1.083 and on-base percentage of .583.

The Falcons took 2-of-3 against the Tigers, narrowly missing a sweep after coming up a run short in the series finale on Sunday. Now 22-14 overall and 12-7 in the GSC. The road tour continues this weekend at Mississippi College on Friday and Saturday.
