Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. --- The Montevallo softball team fell behind early, but rebounded to roll past West Georgia 11-5 on Senior Day at Orr Park. The Falcons improved to 24-20 and 14-12 in the Gulf South Conference, , while the Wolves fell to 14-30 and 7-20 in the GSC.

Pitching
The three senior pitchers combined to keep the UWG bats under control.
Mabry Norris (7-3) was the winning pitcher for the Falcons. She pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief of fellow senior
Kaitlyn Flugga who worked the first 1 1/3 innings. She allowed only one run, a hit and issued two walks. The other senior to take the circle was
Mychael McMillan, who earned her third save of the season after pitching the last 3 1/3 innings. McMillan allowed a run, two hits, two walks and struck out five.
Falcons Leaders
Sydney Pawlak led on offense, going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs.
Taylor Robinson was one of three Falcons with two hits in the game. She was 2-for-4 with four RBIs., while
Alisha Lanyon was 2-for-3 with a double a walk and two runs scored and
Hannah Carey finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk.
Key Plays:
2nd Inning
West Georgia put four runs on the board, but the Falcons stormed back in the bottom of the inning with eight of their own. Two runs came in on a 2-run double by Sydney Pawlak.
Kinley Adams added an RBI single and
Hannah Carey walked with the bases loaded, driving home Adams to tie the game at 4-4.
Taylor Robinson gave the Falcons the lead with a 2-run single. The Falcons added two more runs on a sacrifice fly and an error.
3rd Inning
The Falcons added to their lead with a another 2-run single to make it 10-4.
6th Inning
After UWG scored a run in the 4th to cut the UM lead to 10-5, Pawlak doubled, scoring
Lauren Hamby and giving the Falcons an 11-5 advantage.
