Five members of the UM men's track and field team will have one last chance to earn a trip to the NCAA DII national championship on May 26-28 in Grand Valley, Michigan at Grand Valley State University. Senior Joe Leventry will compete in the 1500 and 5000 meter runs. The NCAA provision times that Leventry will need is 3:49.99 in the 1500 and 14:25.65 in the 5000. Meanwhile Caleb Kariuki will be competing in the long jump and triple jump. He needs a distance of 7.26m in the long jump and 14.71 in the triple jump. Justin Pruitt will also be competing in the two events for a bid to nationals. Braxton Sanford and Kyle Tidwell will make a run at a spot in the NCAA DII field in the pole vault. The provisional standard is 4.82m.
