Box Score OXFORD, Ala. - The Montevallo softball team battled hard but slipped 7-5 against Lee University, Saturday at Choccolocco Park.

Montevallo took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning with an RBI single by Alisha Lanyon. Lee bounced back in the bottom of the second securing an RBI with bases loaded.
The Falcons took back the lead in third after Lanyon grounded out to give Taylor Robinson an opportunity to score. The Lady Flames responded with five unanswered runs over the following two innings.

The Falcons kept fighting despite the mishap with a two-run home run by Robinson in the fifth inning and an RBI double by Sierra Easterwood in the sixth. Lee held off the Falcons come back attempt to advance in the tournament.
