CLEVELAND, Miss. – On day three of the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships, the Montevallo Falcons men's and women's swimming programs set eight more school records and added four podium finishes.
 
To close out the third day of competition, the men's 400-yard relay medley relay team of Will Mahone, Connor Daigle, Aleksei Kolesnikov and Jacob Rubin combined for the teams' highest finish ever at the NSISC Championships. Their time of 3:18.18 set a school-record and Mahone's 200-yard back-stroke time of 48.95 in the event is a program record also.

On the women's side, Beth Balent and Keara McGee opened the day in the morning prelims with record-setting performances. Balent swam a program-best time of 4:36.89 in the 400-yard individual medley while McGee posted a time of 57.39 in the 100-yard fly. In the evening finals, Balent broke her record-setting time from the 400-yard IM prelims as she swam a 4:35.96 to finish sixth.

Aleksei Kolesnikov set a new program record in the 100-yard butterfly as he posted a time of 48.40 in the morning prelims.

In the evening finals, along with Balent and the men's relay's record-setting performances, the Falcons added three more new records to the history books.

Connor Daigle posted a third-place finish in the 400-yard IM with his time of 4:00.37. Tahlia Micallef added another record-breaking performance as she swam a time of 1:52.55 in the 200-yard free. In the men's 200-yard free, Jacob Rubin swam a school-record time of 1:39.02 to place on the podium in third.

The women's 400-yard relay finished fourth with a school record 3:55.91 from the team of Micallef, Elysia Addison, McGee, and Lexi Cardwell.

Through two days of competition, the Falcons have combined for 17 new program records and both squads currently sit in fourth place overall. The women sit one point ahead of Ouachita Baptist after the third day's events with 215 points while the men remain fourth with 271 points.
