D2CIDA Release

AUGUSTA, Ga. – University of Montevallo men's basketball's Braxton Bertolette has been named the D2CIDA NCAA Division II National Player of the Week after his record-setting performance on Saturday, Feb. 25.

This week, Bertolette has earn several awards including his third GSC Player of the Week honor an a All-GSC Second Team selection.

In the final game of his three-year career as a Falcon, Bertolette left a lasting impression by scoring a school-record 50 points against AUM in a close loss on the road.
 
Bertolette earns his third GSC weekly award this season after scoring 50 points, grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out three assists and registering two steals in the lone game of the week against AUM in the season finale.
 
The senior from Fort Collins, Colorado, shot 56 percent from the field and went 20-of-24 form the free-throw line. His free-throws made and attempted both set school records.
