LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Montevallo softball's Taylor Robinson has been named to the 2023 Tucci/National Fast Pitch Coaches Association Division II Player & Pitcher of the Year Watchlist.
 
NFCA WATCHLIST
 
The complete watchlist named 115 players from across the eight NCAA regions with up to 15 student-athletes named for each region.
 
The fifth-year infielder is the lone Falcon selection and one of just 10 Gulf South Conference players to be mentioned on the list. Robinson leads the Montevallo squad with 11 home runs, 27 RBI, 25 runs scored, 67 total bases, an .882 slugging percentage and a .505 on base percentage. The Falcons' first baseman ranks fourth in the GSC in slugging percentage and home runs, fifth in OPS (1.387), and sixth in on base percentage.
 
The 2023 Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year will be announced on June 1. All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season award and do not have to be on this list to be considered. 
 
The Player of the Year award was created in 2015 to honor the outstanding athletic achievements among softball student-athletes throughout NCAA Division II. In 2019, the Association expanded the award to include a Player and Pitcher of the Year.
 
Robinson and will take the field again on April 6 at 4 p.m. to take on Lee in the first of a three-game series.
