Baseball Ranked No. 4 in NCAA South Region, Await NCAA Tournament Selection Show Sunday

NCAA SELECTION SHOW - WATCH HERE SUNDAY MAY 14

INDIANAPOLIS –
 The NCAA Division II Baseball selection committee has released its third edition of the regional rankings with the Falcons remaining at No. 4.
 
After the conclusion of the regular season and the Gulf South Conference Tournament, the NCAA South Region rankings feature the Falcons (38-14) at No. 4 as one of five Gulf South Conference teams in the rankings. UM sits behind No. 2 West Florida and ahead of No. 5 Valdosta State, No. 7 Alabama-Huntsville and No. 10 West Georgia.

Currently, the Falcons boast the No. 4 RPI in the region with the third-highest win percentage (.720) and the most in-region wins at 36.
 
The Falcons concluded the GSC tournament and the regular season with a 38- 14 record and 21-9 in-conference mark.

Out of the 72 teams ranked throughout the eight regions, the Falcons have eight wins over regionally ranked teams.
 
This is the final NCAA regional rankings before the NCAA Division-II Baseball Tournament selection show on Sunday, May 14, at 9.m. central.
