NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has named seven Falcons to the Div. II South Region All-Region Teams.
On the men's side,
Braxton Sanford,
Joshua Pruitt, Joseph Leventry,
Matthew Bradbury and
Nathan Boleware each were named All-Region in their respective events while
Skylar Suggitt and
Leah Dendy earned the All-Region nod in the pole vault.
Sanford, a sophomore pole vaulter, earned the regional award after a season that saw a new personal best of 4.65-meters at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals. Pruitt earned the All-Region award after becoming the 2023 GSC triple jump champion and setting a new personal best at the Samford Alabama Track Challenge with a leap of 14.56-meters. Graduate distance runner Leventry earned the All-Region nod after posting his top time of the season at 14:22.88 in the 5,000-meter at the Raleigh Relays. Bradbury set a new personal best at the Samford Alabama Track Challenge with a hammer throw of 49.96-meters to earn the All-Region award. Boleware received the All-Region nod after medaling in the decathlon at the GSC Outdoor Championships. The senior set new personal records in six of the ten events at the GSC Championship meet.
Suggitt was named to the South Region's All-Region team after a season that saw the sophomore take home six top-10 finishes in the pole vault. In her first collegiate season,
Leah Dendy was selected to the All-Region team after winning the GSC pole vault championship with a mark of 3.60-meters, a new GSC meet record.
The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
