Women's Soccer Unveils 2023 Schedule

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's soccer program has released the 18-game schedule for the 2023 campaign.

FULL SCHEDULE

"We are eager for the 2023 season to arrive," said Head Coach Jake Wyman. "The squad is highly motivated and working hard to prepare themselves. There are challenges at every turn of the schedule including the potential of 4 different Top-25 opponents. We look forward to meeting those challenges head on."
 
The Falcons are set to kick off the season with an exhibition matchup against Birmingham-Southern just up the road in Birmingham, Ala. on Saturday, Aug. 26 before heading into a four-game non—conference stretch to start the regular season.
 
Montevallo's first official match will take place on Aug. 31 in Owensboro, Ky. as the Falcons take on Kentucky Wesleyan before travelling south to Nashville, Tenn. for a matchup with Trevecca Nazarene on Sept. 2 at 1:00 p.m. The Falcons return home on Friday, Sept. 8 to face in-state rival West Alabama at 7 p.m. with Nova Southeastern making the trip to Varsity Field on the following Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
The 2023 Gulf South Conference schedule features a matchup with West Georgia in Montevallo on Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. to kick off a grueling conference schedule. The Falcons then host the Lady Blazers of Valdosta State at 1 p.m. on Sept. 17 before going on a four-game road trip. Head Coach Jake Wyman's squad is set to face Shorter on Sept. 22 before heading north to face the Lee Lady Flames on Sept. 24 at noon. Montevallo then comes back to Alabama for matchups with West Alabama and Alabama in Huntsville on Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, respectively.
 
Montevallo returns to Varsity Field on Oct. 6 to take on the Argonauts of West Florida at 5 p.m. before Spring Hill comes to town on Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. UM then goes on the road for another lengthy trip kicked off on Oct. 13 with a game at Auburn Montgomery. The Falcons take one final trip to Tennessee to take on Union on Oct. 20 with a matchup against Christian Brothers scheduled for Oct. 22.
 
The Falcons close the regular season with a pair of home games, first against Mississippi College on Oct. 27. The final match of the season features Delta State on Oct. 29 before the 2023 GSC Tournament begins.
 
The first round of the conference championship tournament is set to take place on Nov. 5 with the semifinals scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9. The 2023 GSC Championship match will be held on Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Ala.
