MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team swept Christian Brothers to extend their win streak to three matches on Saturday, Oct. 12.

- Nikol Antova had her 12th match where she had double-digit kills.
- Blakeley Robbins led the Falcons with 20 assists, her second collegiate match with 20 or more assists.
- Ava Wind had her sixth match this season where she's had 20 or more digs.
- The Falcons had their second highest hitting percentage of the season (.244)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
Set 2
- The Buccaneers were the first to 10 in set 2 as they took a 10-6 lead.
- Montevallo went on a 7-2 run to take the lead with kills by Hayes, Antova, Hudson and Greene. Ava Wind had a service ace in the run.
- Tied at 16-16, UM went on a 4-1 run which included kills by Tyrrell, Hudson and Antova. All assists came from Colton Thompson.
- CBU tied the set up with three straight points.
- The Falcons took the final five out of six points to win the set. A block by Greene and A. Thompson won the final point for UM.
- Montevallo totaled 18 kills in the set.
Set 3
- Down 1-2 early, a kill by Tyrrell tied it up at 2-2, then a kill by Antova and an ace from Tyrrell gave the Falcons at 4-2 lead.
- Up 6-5, Montevallo won the next six consecutive points with kills by Greene, A. Thompson and Tyrrell. In the run, CBU committed three errors.
- The Buccaneers won the next six out of eight points to bring the score within three.
- Both teams exchanged points back-and-fourth to make the score 20-16, advantage Montevallo.
- CBU went on a quick 3-1 run to shorten the Falcons lead to 21-19.
- A block by Danielle Greene and a kill by Nikol Antova put Montevallo within two of a sweep.
- After CBU committed an attack error, a kill by Greene gave the Falcons their third straight win.
