Ava Wind.

- The Falcons pick up their fifth win of the season where the match has gone five sets.
- Ava Wind set a career-high of six aces while she added 20 digs and three assists.
- Maggie McColley tied a career-high of nine kills.
- Danielle Greene had nine kills on a .615 hit percentage. Greene had her eighth match this season where she has had six or more total blocks.
- As a team, the Falcons set a season-high of 14 service aces in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- After West Alabama took the first two points of the match, Montevallo took the lead with an 8-1 run highlighted by two kills by Claire Hayes, a kill by Nikol Antova and an ace from Ava Wind. UWA had four errors in the run.
- Up 9-5, UM went on their biggest run of the match with nine consecutive points. Aliyah Thompson, Danielle Greene and Maggie McColley contributed kills. Grace Petro had an ace while Blakeley Robbins assisted on four terminations.
- The Tiger made a late push with a 5-0 run, but a service error and a kill by McColley gave the Falcons the first set.
- Montevallo held UWA to a 0.00 hit percentage in the set.
Set 2
- Tied 4-4, West Alabama won the next seven out of eight points.
- Down 14-7, UWA committed four straight errors to get the Falcons back in the match.
- Montevallo went on a 7-2 run with kills by McColley, Antova and Hayes.
- UM tied the set up at 22-22 but three straight points for the Tigers won UWA the set.
Set 3
- The Falcons dominated the third set as they held UWA to a -.125 hitting percentage.
- Montevallo had six aces in the set.
- While up 16-12, Montevallo forced a Tiger timeout with a dump kill by Colton Thompson and kills by Hayes and Antova.
- UM won the final four points two Tiger miscues and two aces from Grace Petro.
Set 4
- Montevallo opened by taking the first four out of five points.
- UWA took the first run of the set by taking seven consecutive points. The Tigers had two aces and three kills in the run.
- The Falcons tied the set at 14-14 with three errors on UWA and two kills by Eliza Tyrrell.
- Tied at 20-20, Montevallo took the next two points with a Danielle Greene kill and a Tiger miscue.
- West Alabama responded with three straight points.
- Another kill by Greene tied the set at 23 apiece.
- UWA took the final two points with two kills,
Set 5
- After an error on UM to tie the final set at 3-3, Montevallo won the next four points highlighted by kills from Hudson, McColley and Hayes. All kills were assisted by Robbins.
- Three Tiger errors and an ace by Colton Thompson gave the Falcons a 11-5 lead.
- Kills by Aliyah Thompson and Nikol Antova gave the Falcons their sixth GSC win of the season.
