MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo volleyball team was defeated by the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Central State Bank Arena.

GAME NOTES
- Katie Wilkerson had a career-high of eight kills.
- Blakeley Robbins led the Falcons in assists and had her fourth match this season with 20 or more.
- The Falcons had three aces, their second lowest mark of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Tied 3-3, Montevallo won the next five points with three kills by Nikol Antova and two aces by Grace Petro.
- With the Falcons up 11-7, Trevecca Nazarene took the next five points and the lead with four kills and a Falcon attack error.
- Claire Hayes ended the Trojan run and started a 4-1 run for UM including two kills from Hayes and dump off kill by Blakeley Robbins.
- TNU took the next six out of eight points by forcing four Falcon errors.
- After a kill by Antova, the Trojans won the next four out of five points including two kills, an ace and a Montevallo attack error.
- Trevecca Nazarene took the set with a block and an ace.
- UM had more kills in the set with 14 compared to the Trojans 11, but TNU was more efficient with a .370 hit percentage compared to UM's .184.
Set 2
- Both teams exchanged points back-and-fourth to 3-3.
- TNU took a 4-1 run with two aces and two kills.
- After a kill by Aliyah Thompson, Trevecca Nazarene won the next five consecutive points including three kills, an ace and an attack error on the Falcons.
- Montevallo won the next seven out of nine points with two kills by Nikol Antova, an ace by Ava Wind and four errors on the Trojans.
- The Falcons crept back within two after two kills by Eliza Tyrrell.
- The Trojans put away the set with a 6-2 run.
- Trevecca Nazarene was hammering away at the Falcon defense with 16 kills on a .444 hitting percentage.
Set 3
- With the Trojans taking an early 4-2 lead, Montevallo forced four consecutive TNU errors to take the lead.
- Katie Wilkerson gave the Falcons a spark as she connected with Colton Thompson for four kills inside an UM 6-0 run.
- Wilkerson started a 3-0 run after a Trojan point with another kill from a Claire Hayes assist.
- After a Trojan kill, Claire Hayes slammed down a kill and then picked up a block with Brooklyn Hudson to extend the lead to 19-8.
- Nikol Antova and Aliyah Thompson had kills to bring the Falcons within one of set point. Colton Thompson had a dump off kill to win the set for UM.
- Montevallo held TNU to a -.172 hitting percentage while they forced 11 Trojan errors. Meanwhile, UM hit a match high .333 in the set.
Set 4
- After a block by Trevecca Nazarene and a kill by Claire Hayes, TNU went on a 4-1 run including two kills and two errors.
- Danielle Greene connected with Blakeley Robbins, then the Trojan attack went on another 4-1 run to put the Falcons in a 9-4 hole.
- Trevecca Nazarene remained relentless as they went on to take the set with a .600 hitting percentage including 15 kills in 25 attacks. They committed no errors.
