MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo wrestling team will travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia where they will compete in the Georgia Open hosted by Emmanuel University.
At the Georgia Open, there will be two ranked division II squad, No. 12 Lander and No. 22 UNC Pembroke. The other Conference Carolinas schools that will be in attendance: Emmanuel, Lincoln Memorial, Mount Olive and Shorter.
The tournament will begin at 8:00 a.m. CT at the Shaw Athletic Center on the campus of Emmanuel.

Jeffery Tubbs are tied for the lead on the team with six wins. Graham and Smith lead Montevallo will three pins on the season. Freeman leads the Falcons with three tech falls this season. The Falcons recorded eight placers in their last open and four top-three finishes.
Jeffery Tubbs and
Colt Brown are coming off 2-0 in their first dual bouts of the season. Brown defeated Mason Moody of Coker and Joseph Bruscino in his 125-weight class bouts. Tubbs earned victories over Kaleb Walley of Coker and Chris Dickey of UNC Pembroke in his most recent match ups.
