MONTEVALLO, Ala. - University of Montevallo softball's Sydnee Reaves and men's lacrosse's Matthew Boas have been named Montevallo Players of the Month for the month of February.
 
Sydnee Reaves (Softball)
Sophomore outfielder Sydnee reaves was on fire in February helping lead the Falcons to 10 wins. In her 17 starts, Reaves had 20 hits on 58 at bats. She totaled 22 RBIs and 19 runs of her own. She led the team with eight home runs, and also had three doubles and triples. She was walked four times and only struck out seven times. She was 1 for 1 on stolen base.  In the month she had two games with four RBIs. Reaves also had a 3 for 3 game at the plate with three home runs against Christian Brothers. Reaves had another multiple home-run game, with two home runs against Miles.
 
Matthew Boas (Men's Lacrosse)
Sophomore attacker Matthew Boas came up big to help the Falcons be ranked for the first time in program history. Boas started the season with two goals and a ground ball against #9/13 Uindy. He exploded in the second game of the season scoring six first half goals against #7/15 Florida Southern and tallied eight points on the day. He also had four ground balls. Against Tusculum he added three more goals and assists. He totaled 19 points, with 13 goals and six assists. He took 30 shots with 19 of them being on goal. He picked up nine ground balls.
