INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 1 seeds and brackets for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships have been announced, Friday, Mar. 8.

Gabe Hixenbaugh is the No. 1 seed in the 133-LB weight class. The Alabaster, Alabama native earns the top seed following a 27-0 season and a Super Region II championship.
Hixenbaugh is one of 18 wrestlers selected to compete in the 133-LB National Championship. He punched his ticket to nationals with a 3-0 mark at the Super Region II Championships, culminating in the region title.
The championships will take place on Mar. 15-16, in Wichita, Kansas, at Hartman Arena.
On Friday, Mar. 15 prelims and the first round will begin at 10 a.m. The first and second-round consolations and quarterfinals will begin at 5 p.m. The semifinals will be held on Saturday, Mar. 16 at 10 a.m. with the finals at 7 p.m.
Hixenbaugh will face James Anderson from Ouachita Baptist, who is ranked No. 14 by TheOpenMat.com, in the first round following prelims scheduled for the Friday morning session.
As a team, the Falcons are ranked No. 19 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association enterning the National Championships.
