MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's and women's track and field teams are ready for the last regular season meet of the year at the Doc Anderson Invitational hosted by Troy University of Friday, Apr. 12 and Saturday, Apr. 13.
Emily Wolf received Gulf South Conference honors for the fourth time this season with throws of 41.01 meters in the discus and 45.73 meters in the hammer throw. Wolf would placed first in the discus and fourth in the hammer.
Abby Snyder won first place with a personal record time of 5:08.42. This would be Snyder's second PR of the spring as she set a personal best time of 20:10.31 in the 5000-meter.
Zauren Burton is fresh of a school record and a Division II Provo Mark in the high jump with a height of 1.67 meters. Montevallo swept the javelin throw with a first-place throw of 40.83 meters from
Elizabeth Hayhurst, a second-place throw of 33.50 meters by
Katlynn Brothers and a third-place throw from
Libby Wright with a distance of 31.34 meters.
Zane Weeks posted a first-place finish in the javelin throw with a distance of 51.94 meters. Weeks was .71 meters off of his personal best.
Will Stroud set a PR in the pole vault as he cleared a height of 3.80 meters.
Caleb Newell notched a personal best in the discus throw as he threw a distance of 35.70 meters.
