BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its 2026 outdoor track and field yearly awards on Wednesday, as Montevallo garnered nine All-Conference honors.
On the men's side, three individuals earned six All-Conference honors, while the Men's 4x100m Relay also earned conference recognition.
Jeremiah Fails led the way with three individual All-Conference honors. Fails was named First Team All-GSC in 100m, after placing first with a time of 10.51. He earned a pair of second place finishes to earn Second Team All-GSC honors in the Long Jump (7.15m) and 200m (21.13). Fails, Chason Howard, Jamell Beatty, and Steven Posey were named a First Team All-GSC 4x100m Relay team, after placing first with a time of 20.75.
Christopher Johnson earned a pair of All-Conference honors, garnering first team honors in the Discus with a first-place throw of 55.37m and second team honors in the Shot Put with a second-place distance of 15.64m. Zane Weeks picked up second team honors in the Javelin with a second-place throw of 59.64m.
On the women's side, Natania Nasieku and Katie Wilkerson picked up All-Conference honors. Nasieku was named First Team All-GSC in the Triple Jump, placing first with a jump of 11.87m. Wilkerson was named Second Team All-GSC in the Javelin, placing second with a throw of 44.45m.
