GREENWOOD, Ind. – Montevallo women's lacrosse saw a trio of Falcons named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large team.

Chloe Norman,
Jenna Piazza and
Claire Withington were the three Falcons to receive the national academic honor.
Norman, a sophomore midfielder, appeared in all 15 games for Montevallo with 14 starts scoring six goals while adding four assists for a total of 10 points. The Land O'Lakes, Fla native finished second on the team with 34 draw controls on the season while setting a career-high with five draw controls on two separate occasions. The data analytics major posted a 3.737 cumulative GPA in her two years on the bricks.
Piazza, a junior attacker, played and started in 14 games in 2024 and scored a total of 22 goals while adding nine assists for a total of 31 points. The Chagrin Falls, Ohio native set a career-high with five points on three goals and two assists in Montevallo's win over Malone on March 5. The junior also set a career-best with three hattricks on the season. Piazza posted a 3.844 GPA in pursuit of her psychology degree.
Withington, another sophomore, appeared in all 15 Montevallo contests with a total of 34 points on 20 goals and 14 assists. The attacker scored a team-high three game-winning goals while setting a career-best with seven points in a pair of outings. The Murrells Inlet, S.C. native scored a career-high five goals in Montevallo's win over Malone on March 5. The sophomore chemistry major posted a 4.00 GPA in her courses.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
