NEW ORLEANS, La. – The USTFCCCA announced its All-Academic Teams and Athletes for cross country, with both Montevallo men's and women's teams being honored for the fall 2024 season.
The Montevallo men's cross country team earned a team GPA of 3.381 to be named on the USTFCCCA Men's All-Academic Team.
Jackson Howse,
Joseph Pitard, and
Cameron Prosser were all named on the men's All-Academic Athlete list.
Howse posted a 4.000 GPA in pursuit of a biology degree. The sophomore has been solid on the course for UM, competing in all six races this year. Howse captured a 57
th place finish at the NCAA DII South Regional.
Pitard posted a 3.720 GPA in pursuit of an MED. The graduate student led the way for the Montevallo men, being the top UM finisher in five out of six races. Pitard earned a first-place overall finish at the Royals Challenge and placed 68
th at the NCAA DII South Regional.
Prosser posted a 3.680 GPA in pursuit of an Exercise & Nutrition Science degree. The sophomore had a solid season on the course, competing in all six meets. Prosser closed the season, finishing 70
th at the NCAA DII South Regional.
The Montevallo women's cross country team earned a team GPA of 3.423 to be named on the USTFCCCA Women's All-Academic Team list.
Morgan Remley,
Abby Snyder,
Sarah Turner, and
Natalie Warner were all named on the women's All-Academic Athlete list.
Remley posted a 3.800 GPA in pursuit of an Exercise & Nutrition Science degree. The junior has been solid on the course, competing five meets this season. Remley placed 62
nd at the at the NCAA DII South Regional.
Snyder posted a 3.570 in pursuit of an Exercise & Nutrition Science degree. The senior performed well on the course, competing in all six meets this season. Snyder placed 45
th in the NCAA DII South Regional.
Turner posted a 3.720 GPA in pursuit of a history degree. The junior was solid for the Falcons, competing in all six meets. Turner closed the season, placing 73
rd at the NCAA DII South Regional.
Warner posted a 3.960 GPA in pursuit of a history degree. The senior had a stellar season, leading the way for UM in every race. Warner placed 25
th at the NCAA DII South Regional, to secure a spot on the All-Region team.
