Women’s Cross Country Picked Sixth in the GSC Preseason Poll

The Gulf South Conference announced the 2025 Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Tuesday, with Montevallo voted to finish sixth. 

The Falcons collected 70 points in the poll to pick up the sixth spot, which is 15 more points than they received last year, when they were picked to finish eighth. 

Defending GSC champion, Lee, earned 121 points to stay in the top spot of the poll, receiving 11 of the 12 first place votes. The University of Alabama Huntsville (108 points) and Mississippi College (103) rounded out the top three. 

Montevallo finished sixth place at the 2024 GSC Championships and made an appearance at the 2024 South Region, placing ninth overall and finishing as the fourth best GSC school. 
The Falcons open the 2025 season on the road at the UNA Invitational on Friday, Sept. 5.
