GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas announced its 2025-26 Men's Wrestling Preseason Poll on Thursday, with Montevallo picked to finish seventh. Additionally, three Falcons were named to the league's Wrestlers to Watch list.

Montevallo earned 110 points in the poll, ranking seventh among the conference's 15 teams. The Falcons are coming off a strong 2024-25 campaign in which they posted a 6-4 conference record and finished third in the West Division.
A trio of Falcons - Cole Hunt, Carson Freeman, and Jake Chisolm - were highlighted as Wrestlers to Watch entering the new season.
Hunt, a sophomore from Sugar Hill, Ga., looks poised for a breakout season after transferring from the University of North Carolina prior to the 2024-25 campaign. Freeman returns as one of Montevallo's top competitors after leading the team with 29 wins last year, including a pair of victories over ranked opponents. Chisolm notched 22 wins in 2024-25 and became the first Falcon at 165 pounds to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.
The Falcons will open the 2025-26 season on Nov. 1 at the Pepsi Patriot Open in Corbin, Ky.
