MANHEIM, Pa. – The Montevallo wrestling team was well-represented in Thursday's National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Preseason Rankings, earning votes toward the Top 25 while featuring a pair of individually ranked wrestlers for the first time in program history.

The Falcons totaled 3.5 points in the preseason poll, joining six other Conference Carolinas programs either ranked or receiving votes.

At 165 pounds, Jake Chisolm enters the season ranked No. 10 following his NCAA Nationals appearance a year ago. The Oxford, Ala. native looks to build on that success as one of Montevallo's key returners after also being named to the Conference Carolinas Wrestlers to Watch list earlier Thursday.

Senior Max Stedeford also cracked the national rankings at No. 15 at 149 pounds. The Pittsburgh, Pa. product joins the Falcons after a standout four-year career at Mercyhurst and is expected to make an immediate impact in his debut season with Montevallo.
