BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its eighth set of weekly awards on Tuesday morning, with Andre Etcheverry earning his third GSC Goalkeeper of the Week honor in the last four weeks.
 
The Parrish, Fla., native had a solid week in goal, recording 11 saves and allowing one goal through two games, as Montevallo picked up four points in league play.
 
Etcheverry's best performance came on Friday, as he secured his fifth shutout of the year in a 1-0 win over Christian Brothers. He recorded six saves against the Bucs which included a huge save at the end of the game, as he saved a CBU shot attempt off a free kick right outside of the penalty box with seven seconds left to preserve the win. The Falcon keeper followed that up with five saves in a 1-1 draw at Union.
 
Etcheverry and the Falcons close the regular season with a pair of home games against Delta State (Oct. 31) and Mississippi College (Nov. 2).
