MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Montevallo women's soccer is set to head out to Columbus, Ga. for the penultimate game of the 2025 regular season at Columbus State on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.

Montevallo heads into the midweek clash with a 9-4-2 overall mark and an 8-2-2 record in conference play after posting a 1-2 record in the first stint of nonconference action. The Falcons then rattled off six consecutive wins before taking its first tie of the season on Oct. 8 against Mississippi College. The Falcons suffered their first conference loss of the season on Oct. 15 to Lee before adding a 1-1 draw with Trevecca Nazarene. Last week, Montevallo dropped a meeting with No. 6 West Florida before rebounding with a 3-1 win over Spring Hill in the final conference game of the season.  The Falcons offense ranks third in the GSC with a total of 27 goals on the season with a second-best 20 assists on the season. Montevallo fires an average of 15.67 shots per game with 7.00 shots on goal per game. Defensively, Montevallo has allowed just 14 goals on the season with a total of eight clean sheets on the season. 
Lainey Farabaugh leads Montevallo's frontline with eight goals on the season for the fourth most in the GSC while 
Morgan Goehring has added five goals with a team-high seven assists to lead the team with 17 points. In the net, 
Ciara Duff leads Montevallo with six shutouts on the season with 24 saves and just three goals allowed while 
Jolie Cazale has recorded 20 saves and seven goals against.
 
Columbus State enters the matchup with a 9-5-1 overall record and a 7-2 mark in Peach Belt Conference action after posting a 2-3 mark in nonconference action to start the season. The Cougars dropped the first conference game of the season before picking up a pair of wins. After an Oct. 11 loss, CSU went on a three-game win streak culminating with a 2-0 win over Georgia College on Oct. 25. CSU ranks second in the PBC with a total of 40 goals on the season while adding 20 assists through 15 games. The Cougars average a total of 16.80 shots per game for the second-most in the PBC while adding an average of 7.60 shots on goal per game. Defensively, CSU has allowed just 13 goals on the season for an average of 0.87 per game. Individually, CSU is led by Sarah Hungerford with 12 goals on the season while adding three assists for a total of 27 points on the season to lead the PBC in both categories. In the net, Heidi Harris has tallied a total of 35 saves on the season with just 13 goals allowed on 90 shots faced to record a total of five shutouts on the seaso
