INDIANAPOLIS, In. – The University of Montevallo wrestling team end their run at the Greyhound Open hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Rhett Walters was one of two Falcons today with two wins. In his first bout in the 184-weight class, Walters picked up his sixth pin of the season as he took down Quincy's Tigh Connor in 5:31. In Walter's second win of the day, he won by major decision over Grand Valley State's Matthew Morris, 11-3.
Sam Euceda-Torres won twice at the Greyhound Open as he defeated Quincy's Judah Yates with a take down in a sudden victory, 10-7. Euceda-Torres would pick up his fourth major decision of the season against Trescott Duffy of Wabash, 16-5. He is now 4-0 in major decisions so far in his freshman campaign.

Individual Highlights
- In the 197-weight class, Sam Euceda-Torres went 2-2 including a sudden victory over Judah Yates. He would add a 16-5 major decision over Wabash's Trescott Duffy.
- Rhett Walters is now tied with Carson Freeman for the team lead in pins as he earned a fall over Quincy's Tigh Connor in 5:31. Walters would take down Matthew Morris of Grand Valley State in an 11-3 major decision.
- Colton Sullivan earned his seventh win of the season as he won by decision over Dominick Paul of Wabash, 14-9.
- In the 157-weight class, Tristan Williams picked up his fastest fall of the season as he pinned Dana Bishop in 2:21.
- Baxter Hoffman won his sixth decision of the year over Cameron Crisp of Manchester. Hoffman won 9-7 in the bout.
UP NEXT
The Falcons will have a three-week layoff as they prepared for regionals. The Super Region II tournament will take place in Pembroke, North Carolina on Saturday, Mar. 1.
