LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the second time this season, Montevallo men's lacrosse faceoff specialist Brandon Shaffner has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week.
 
In Montevallo's 22-11 win over William Jewell on Sunday, March 16, Shaffner tallied a 19-for-25 mark at the dot for the second-most single game faceoff wins in the junior's career at Montevallo. The Louisville, Ky. native also picked up a game-high 10 ground balls in the Falcons' seventh win of the season. Sunday's outing was the sixth-consecutive game Shaffner has not recorded a single turnover.
 
Shaffner now ranks fourth in the nation with a .716 faceoff win percentage on the season with a 141-for-197 mark at the bot.
 
The Falcons will return to action on March 22 at 12 p.m. when Montevallo hosts No. 12 Maryville.
