BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday, with Montevallo capturing five of the six weekly honors after a solid outing at the Falcon Classic and Multi on Friday.
Julian Fore and
Natalie Warner were named Track Athletes of the Week, while
Emily Wolf and
Eran Foye Jr. were named Field Athletes of the Week.
Katie Wilkerson garnered Freshman of the Week honors.
Fore had a strong week, capturing a first-place finish in the 800m with a time of 1:55.58. Fore was also part of the Men's 4x400m Relay team, which earned a second-place finish with a time of 3:21.24.
Warner posted a personal record on Friday, as the senior finished with a time of 4:51.21 in the 1500m.
Wolf had a strong outing, garnering three top-three finishes. The sophomore earned a pair of first-place finishes in the Discus Throw (44.93m) and the Shot Put (12.43m), while placing third overall in the Hammer Throw (43.04m).
Foye earned a first-place finish in the High Jump (1.99m) and placed tenth in the Javelin Throw (46.11m).
Wilkerson earned a pair of second place finishes in the Discus Throw (44.52m) and the Javelin Throw (38.59m), while placing 15
th in the Shot Put (9.67m).
Montevallo is back in action later this week for the Alumni Bulldog Relays hosted by Mississippi State.
