ATLANTA, Ga. – The Falcon throwers led the way for Montevallo Track and Field on the final day at the Emory Spring Break Classic.
Christopher Johnson earned the lone individual top-finish for Montevallo, placing first in the Discus with a throw of 56.28m. Johnson's throw breaks the previous school record he set last weekend at the Falcon Classic. Ethan Fox also earned a podium finish in the Discus, placing third with a throw of 47.45m. Three Falcons earned top-seven finishes in the Shot Put including Cooper Myl (fourth – 15.36m), Caleb Newell (sixth – 14.80m), and Ethan Fox (seventh – 14.50m).
The Men's 4x200m Relay team of Dwight Bellamy, Jamell Beatty, Walter Womack, and Jeremiah Fails had a solid day, placing first overall with a time of 1:26.96. Fails led the way for the jumps, recording a 6.80m in the Long Jump.
Katie Wilkerson earned the highest place finish on the women's side, placing second in the Discus with a throw of 44.04m. Cesleigh Martin also recorded a podium finish, placing third in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.88m.
Ka'Mya Jackson earned the top individual finish on the track, placing fifth in the 400m with a time of 57.10. Khila Corrothers led the way for the jumps, recording a 5.17m in the Long Jump.
